I conduct patient interviews to gather medical histories and sleep patterns, apply sensors and electrodes to monitor sleep stages and physiological functions, and monitor the patient throughout the night. Post-study, I analyze the data, prepare reports, and collaborate with physicians to interpret results. I also maintain and troubleshoot equipment, ensuring it is in optimal working condition.

When a patient is anxious or uncomfortable, I first address their concerns by explaining the process in detail and answering any questions they may have. I ensure they are as comfortable as possible by adjusting the room temperature, providing extra pillows or blankets, and offering reassurance. If the patient is still uneasy, I may suggest a brief relaxation exercise or offer a mild sedative, if appropriate and prescribed by the physician. My goal is to create a calm and supportive environment to help the patient feel at ease and obtain accurate data.

I have extensive experience with various polysomnography equipment and software, including systems from leading manufacturers such as ResMed, Philips, and Natus. I am proficient in setting up and calibrating equipment, applying sensors and electrodes correctly, and troubleshooting any technical issues that arise during a study.
