Over the past five years, I have worked with GE and Siemens machines, performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting common issues. I am proficient in using PACS systems for image storage and retrieval, ensuring high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.

Patient comfort is paramount. I always explain each step of the procedure beforehand to alleviate anxiety. I ensure the room is at a comfortable temperature and use positioning techniques that minimize discomfort. Additionally, I maintain a calm and reassuring demeanor throughout the process, which helps put patients at ease.

I strictly adhere to ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles. This involves using the lowest possible kVp and mAs settings, ensuring proper collimation, and wearing dosimetry badges for personal monitoring. I also regularly check the equipment for optimal performance to ensure minimal radiation exposure to both the patient and myself.

In such cases, I first reassure the patient that I understand their concerns and provide them with a sense of control by allowing them to see the machine before starting. I might also suggest a mild sedative if the situation is severe, in consultation with a physician. Keeping communication open and maintaining a calm environment helps manage their anxiety effectively.

One challenging case involved a patient with very dense breast tissue, which made image acquisition difficult. I adjusted the technique settings to optimize contrast and used additional views to capture clear images. Collaborating with the radiologist, we were able to obtain the necessary diagnostic information without compromising the patient's safety or comfort.
