This includes helping patients transfer to the operating table, maintaining a sterile environment, and providing support to the surgical team. Post-operation, I assist in cleaning the operating room and restocking supplies for the next procedure.

I manage stress by maintaining a focused and organized approach. Prioritizing tasks, staying calm under pressure, and communicating effectively with the surgical team are key. Regularly practicing relaxation techniques and maintaining a healthy work-life balance also helps me stay resilient and perform effectively during critical moments.

Essential qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of a certified surgical technician program, and certification as a surgical technologist. Key skills are knowledge of surgical procedures, ability to maintain sterility, proficiency in surgical equipment handling, and strong communication and teamwork skills.

During a surgery, we unexpectedly ran out of a critical instrument. I quickly informed the surgeon, located a replacement, and ensured it was properly sterilized and ready for use without disrupting the procedure. This required quick thinking, effective communication, and adherence to strict sterile protocols.
